The EHSS Supervisor – Wireless Operations is responsible for supporting the execution of AFL's Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs across Wireless construction activities.
This role serves as a frontline EHSS leader, working closely with field personnel, supervisors, contractors, and project leadership to identify risks, verify controls, and promote safe work execution.
The EHSS Supervisor provides day-to-day field support, coaching, auditing, and compliance oversight while helping drive a proactive safety culture throughout Wireless Operations.
The role is highly visible in the field and serves as a critical link between project teams and EHSS leadership.
Reporting to the EHSS Manager – Wireless Operations, the EHSS Supervisor supports the implementation of EHSS initiatives, assists with incident investigations, monitors compliance, and escalates significant concerns requiring management intervention.
The position has authority to stop work when conditions present an imminent risk to personnel, property, or operations.
Scope of Responsibility
• Support EHSS execution across wireless construction, modification, and upgrade activities.
• Provide field-based safety leadership and compliance oversight for assigned regions, markets, programs, or customers.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to EHSS Advisors and operational supervisors.
• Conduct field audits, inspections, observations, and risk assessments.
• Support contractor safety management and customer compliance requirements. The position is field-intensive and supports multiple active project sites.
