About the Role
Al-Gurg Fosroc UAE is seeking an EHS Manager to develop and implement regional EHS & Sustainability strategies. The role requires 10 years of management experience, a bachelor's in engineering, and certifications like Grad IOSH and Lead Auditor.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional EHS & Sustainability strategies and programs that align with the company’s global policies and objectives
- Tailor global Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability initiatives to fit the regional context, ensuring they meet local regulation and operational needs
- Oversee environmental performance across the region, including emissions reduction, resource efficiency, and waste management programs
- Provide EHS training and support the delivery of contemporary behavioral based safety programs
- Lead incident investigations for major or potentially high risk events, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures
- Ensure formal/informal risk assessments are conducted for all hazardous tasks
- Act as EHS Lead in emergency situations
- Coordinate emergency response preparedness, ensuring plans, drills, resources, and competency requirements are standardized and effective
- Prepare and submit EHS reports to company leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS and Sustainability matters within the region
- Lead the implementation and continual improvement of EHS integrated system (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Plan, coordinate and execute regional EHS audits and ensure timely closure of findings
Requirements
- 10 years management experience with 3 years at a regional level
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant field
- Internationally recognized level 6 qualification in OSH – (i.e. Grad IOSH)
- Certified Lead Investigator – 5 years’ experience in leading incident investigations
- Certified Lead ISO Auditor – 5 years’ experience in leading, reviewing and supervising EHS assurance audits
- Extensive experience in leading, coaching and embedding regional/group wide behavioral based safety programs and tools
- Expert knowledge of regional and international regulations including OSHA
- Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred
- Fluent in English language
- Fluent in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Qualifications

- Certified Lead Investigator – 5 years’ experience in leading incident investigations; proficient at reviewing / overseeing the team’s outputs, driving improvements and ensuring that EHS incidents and reports are proactively managed, shared and lessons learned.
- Certified Lead ISO Auditor – 5 years’ experience in leading, reviewing and supervising the completion of high quality EHS assurance audits, statutory inspections and action closure activities.
- Extensive experience in leading, coaching and embedding regional / group wide behavioral based safety programs and tools.
- Expert knowledge of regional and international regulations including OSHA. Capable of providing high quality technical advice on current legislation and implementation of future EHS requirements such that compliance is maintained / business advantage is realized.
- Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Fluent in English language.
- Fluent in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
