Editorial Technician, Testing and Data Collection

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience as an Editorial Technician, Technical Writer, or Word Processor III where editing was a major duty; OR an Associate’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Communications, or Science and two (2) years of experience in technical writing or editing; OR a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Communications, or Science.
• Must be proficient in the advanced functionality and tools of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, which may include working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking distances over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.
• Must be willing and able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS as required.
