Position Overview
Support initiatives that strengthen the local economy, foster innovation, and advance community prosperity.
Plan, coordinate, and deliver economic development projects and programs under the direction of the Economic Development Officer.
Support project management, customer relationship management, research and analysis, communications, marketing, and department administration.
Contribute to implementation of the District’s Economic Development Sector Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate grant-funded economic development projects.
- Conduct economic and demographic research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.
- Analyze data and prepare statistical, sectoral, and economic reports.
- Develop recommendations supporting sustainable economic growth and strategic decision-making.
- Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and industry partners.
- Draft and edit communications, reports, website content, and correspondence.
