ECAD Engineer

YOUR ROLE

• As an ECAD Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and validating high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) for advanced automotive electronic products. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable PCB solutions while ensuring compliance with Aptiv's quality and design standards.
• Key Responsibilities
• · Design and verify multilayer and HDI PCBs with a focus on reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• · Create and support schematic designs, PCB layouts, and production documentation using Mentor/Siemens ECAD tools such as Xpedition, DxDesigner, and Valor.
• · Develop PCB stack-ups, tooling drawings, and support Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) activities.
• · Perform design verification, circuit analysis, and collaborate with local and global engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• · Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and business impact.
• YOUR BACKGROUND
• · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
• · 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in PCB design, including multilayer and HDI board development.
• · Strong expertise in ECAD tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Siemens Xpedition, DxDesigner, and Valor.
• · Solid understanding of digital and analog circuit design, PCB layout principles, and engineering documentation.
• · Automotive PCB design experience and knowledge of high-speed signal simulation tools such as HyperLynx will be an advantage.
