Role Overview

Project Responsibilities

• Support transport planning projects including business cases, transport assessments, network studies, active travel, public transport, research, and behavior change initiatives.
• Assess transport impacts of proposed developments and recommend infrastructure improvements focused on active and sustainable modes.
• Work across multiple projects and conduct technical reviews to maintain deliverable quality.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for active travel and transport planning schemes.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support resource planning, provide team performance feedback, and escalate workload or utilization concerns.
• Identify and manage technical project risks and contribute to sustainability initiatives.

Technical Skills

• Understand master planning, transit-oriented development, micromobility planning, and sustainable transportation systems.
• Use transport modelling concepts and tools including VISUM, CUBE, VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS, LEGION, and VISWALK.
• Use MS Excel, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD for analysis, mapping, and technical work.
• Apply urban roadway design principles and knowledge of highway components.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in Transport Planning or Transportation Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience as a transport planner.
• International Middle East project experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Employment is subject to successful completion of a third-party background verification check.
