The school is seeking an EAL Student Support Assistant to join its EAL team.
The role supports students with English as an Additional Language and contributes to their academic progress and wellbeing.
The assistant works under the guidance of the EAL Coordinator and Head of Inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group support to students.
- Adapt resources and strategies to meet learners' needs.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to Individual EAL Plans and support programmes.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with the EAL team.
- Strengthen links between home and school.
Requirements
- Successful candidates must be fluent English language speakers.
- Fluency in an additional language would be an advantage.
