Role Overview
Join the Legal and Compliance team of an international maritime and trading business as a newly created Due Diligence Officer role.
Report directly to the Group Head of Legal.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage KYC, due diligence, and onboarding for clients, vendors, and counterparties.
- Conduct counterparty and vessel screening using Kpler, World-Check, or equivalent tools.
- Investigate higher-risk cases and conduct enhanced due diligence.
- Prepare due diligence memoranda and maintain compliance records.
- Support AML, sanctions, and wider regulatory requirements.
About You
- Have at least two years of experience in KYC, due diligence, AML, or compliance.
- Maritime experience is preferred, particularly in shipowners or managers, bunkering, commodities or trading, marine services, or shipping agencies.
- Experience with vessel and counterparty screening is advantageous.
- Strong non-maritime KYC or AML candidates will also be considered.
