  • The Debt Advisory and Restructuring team comprises 11 specialists and advises on corporate, leveraged, infrastructure and real estate situations.

Overview of Role

  • An informed and impartial perspective to help clients reach their goals through design and execution of financing and restructuring solutions.
  • We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid sized corporations, sovereign wealth funds, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, and governments.

Responsibilities

  • Work on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical aspects of transactions, including client development, opportunity evaluation, reviewing term sheets, legal implementation, debt documents, and transaction strategy and execution.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial analyses and financial models required for evaluating and completing such transactions, as well as client presentations, information memoranda and offering documents.
  • Researching relevant industries to support the wider team's marketing initiatives, optimising various sources of information.
  • Supporting the team to coordinate each transaction process both internally and with other advisors.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent: 2:1 or above
  • ACA (or equivalent) qualified is a distinct advantage, but not essential

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • 3+ years experience in restructuring, debt advisory or investment banking role
  • Genuine interest in corporate finance with a particular focus on debt advisory and/or restructuring space in the MENA region
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to develop financial models with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Ability to coach and mentor analysts and interns is essential
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously
  • Ability to build effective relationships internally between individuals, teams and lines of business, across different geographies
  • Knowledge of various debt instruments
  • An exceptional strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
