Aftersales Diagnostics Engineer
-Develop and validate diagnostic procedures tailored to real-world workshop conditions
-Collaborate with service technicians to ensure diagnostic content is practical, accurate, and technician-friendly
-Translate complex technical data into actionable fault isolation steps for use in service tools and manuals
-Analyze field feedback and service reports to refine diagnostic strategies and improve first-time fix rates
-Support the creation of technical bulletins, guided diagnostics, and service documentation
-Conduct hands-on testing and simulation of diagnostic workflows to ensure usability and effectiveness
-Provide training and technical support to service teams and aftermarket partners
Qualifications
- A comprehensive understanding of automotive systems is essential. This includes an in-depth knowledge of various systems such as the engine, transmission, braking, and electrical systems. Mastery of diagnostics is crucial, as it enables technicians to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with diagnostic protocols is equally important, as it ensures adherence to industry standards and practices. Proficiency in using diagnostic testers allows for accurate data collection and analysis, facilitating effective troubleshooting.
- Moreover, debugging skills are vital for addressing complex problems that may arise during vehicle operation. Must also be adept at handling field issues, which often require quick thinking and practical solutions in real-world scenarios.
