Must have had a class C license for a minimum of 5 years.
Knowledge of Howard County and surrounding county roads desired.
Experience driving a 14-passenger van desired.
Must be able to participate in and pass all agency mandated training, including CPR, First Aid, and online exams.
Ability to relate well to staff and board members of different races, ethnicity, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions.
Background Check and Drug Screening required.
Ability to use cell phone and GPS.
Drive vans to transport individuals with disabilities to and from Humanim’s day programs, field trips, employment, or appointments.
Maintain safety precautions that affect both the vehicle and the passengers.
Conduct scheduled runs in a timely manner starting at 7am.
Cross-training on other runs as instructed.
Coordinate with the office regarding incidents, issues, and no shows promptly.
Follow the cell phone and gasoline policies.
Complete all required training on time.
Observe the van and do accurate maintenance checks.
Coordinate with the office and take the van for oil changes, emissions testing and repairs as needed.
