Role overview
Domain Architect responsible for the physical and logical lifecycle of high-performance interconnect fabrics across client environments.
Serve as the technical authority for the network component of compute-network-storage environments.
The role combines 60% complex AI infrastructure delivery with 40% pre-sales subject-matter expertise.
Delivery and implementation
- Architect and deploy non-blocking fat-tree topologies using NVIDIA Quantum-2 or Quantum-3 InfiniBand and Spectrum-4 Ethernet switches.
- Implement rail-optimised designs aligned with compute-node PCIe trees to minimise latency for NCCL collectives.
- Configure adaptive routing, congestion control, and QoS to prevent head-of-line blocking and support lossless delivery.
- Enable and tune SHARP on Quantum switches for in-network collective-operation offload.
- Architect Ethernet AI fabrics using SmartNIC or DPU offloading, including NVIDIA BlueField-3.
- Deploy UFM for InfiniBand subnet management and NetQ for Ethernet telemetry.
- Monitor fabric health, slow receivers, and link degradation in real time.
- Implement PTP for nanosecond-level clock synchronisation across the cluster.
- Oversee physical cabling, transceiver selection, cable schedules, and link-budget validation for 400G and 800G links.
