- Own end-to-end verification for assigned subsystems or systems: develop verification plans, map tests to requirements, and define acceptance criteria.
- Create, document, and maintain test cases, test procedures, and test scripts for laboratory, production, integration, and field verification.
- Execute verification tests (manual and automated), collect and analyze data, and produce clear test reports and pass/fail summaries.
- Develop and maintain test infrastructure: harnesses, fixtures, data acquisition, automation scripts, and simulation/testbenches as needed.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, design teams, and field support to ensure tests are realistic, repeatable, and cover critical failure modes.
- Lead verification efforts for design changes (ECO/ECRs), regression campaigns, and qualification activities; verify corrective actions and validate fixes.
- Support root cause analysis by designing targeted verification tests and providing technical evidence to isolate and close issues.
- Ensure traceability of verification artifacts to requirements and maintain verification status for project baselines.
- Mentor junior verification and test engineers; promote verification best practices and drive improvements to test processes and tooling.
- Participate in design and requirements reviews to influence testability and identify verification needs early in the lifecycle.
- Strong systems-thinking and the ability to translate requirements into practical, measurable verification activities.
- Comfortable with hands-on laboratory and integration work while also developing automated test scripts and data-analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; capable of producing concise, evidence-based verification reports.
- Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams and present verification status to stakeholders.
- Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize verification tasks in support of project schedules.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of engineering experience with a significant portion focused on verification, test engineering, or validation in electro-mechanical or embedded systems (maritime, robotics, aerospace, or similar industries preferred).
