A UK-based consulting company is seeking a senior Document Controller with a background in engineering consultancy and supervision projects to join their team in the UAE.
The role involves managing and controlling all project documents, ensuring proper documentation flow, and providing document control support to the project team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and control all project documents, including drawings, specifications, manuals, correspondence, and reports.
- Ensure all project documents are properly marked, filed, and easily accessible to all team members.
- Track the flow of documents and ensure timely issuance, distribution, and receipt of project documentation.
- Develop and maintain a document control system, including document numbering, filing, tracking, and distribution.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of documents before submitting them to client, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide document control support to the project team and ensure all project documents are reviewed and approved according to established procedures.
- Regularly update document logs to track revisions, approvals, and submission statuses.
- Attend meetings and prepare Minutes of Meetings and circulate among members.
- Liaise with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure proper documentation flow and address discrepancies.
- Perform quality checks on all project documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
