Assist in supervising Accounting staff, including workload delegation, coaching, and performance management.
Help manage the Accounting team's accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
Support accounting management activities, including billing and financial reporting.
Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
Prepare complete financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Prepare and review journal entries, invoices, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Lead the annual external audit process, including maintaining accounting records, preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and coordinating audit fieldwork.
Develop financial reports for management and business partners and respond to ad hoc reporting requests.
Review accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies or imbalances.
Utilize accounting systems to improve efficiency and maintain accurate financial records.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Maintain compliance with internal reporting calendars, regulatory requirements, and filing deadlines.
Safeguard confidential financial information.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
CPA designation or Master's degree highly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
Previous experience as an Assistant Controller or in a similar accounting leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting procedures.
