Job Summary
The associate performs specialized distribution center tasks in order picking, receiving, shipping, returns, or other departments.
The role operates under close supervision and uses clearly prescribed processes, past practices, or instructions.
Major Tasks and Accountabilities
- Sort, pick, stock, and stage materials.
- Load and unload materials from racks, shelves, vehicles, and designated storage areas.
- Stack boxes, ladders, pallets, and construction or industrial materials.
- Maintain a clean work area and place products in their correct locations.
- Follow safety policies and encourage other associates to follow them.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
- The role involves exposure to dust, fumes, odors, and other factors causing moderate physical discomfort.
- The position requires walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering materials or equipment that may weigh more than 50 pounds.
- Overnight travel is typically less than 5 percent of the time.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
- The stated experience level is zero to two years in the area of responsibility.
- At least six months of related experience is preferred.
Pay
