Role Description
The Distribution Assistant supports daily distribution, order fulfillment, and delivery activities.
The role coordinates orders, shipments, delivery tracking, records, and communications across warehouses, logistics providers, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Process and allocate orders, coordinate shipments, prepare documentation, and check order and shipment details.
- Update tracking information, coordinate delivery schedules, and monitor stock movements.
- Assist with delivery delays, discrepancies, damaged goods, inventory and distribution reporting, and system record maintenance.
- Contribute to improvements in distribution processes and service levels while managing multiple operational priorities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, distribution, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of distribution, logistics, order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory, and delivery processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools for tracking, reporting, and data management.
- Familiarity with ERP, warehouse management, transport management, inventory, or distribution systems is preferred.
