DISTINGUISHED, SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Own the architecture of a large-scale Kubernetes platform , solving complex distributed systems challenges in scalability, reliability, and high availability at Walmart scale.

Drive the technical direction for platform evolution , building systems that are scalable, secure, and highly automated, with a focus on operational excellence and developer productivity.

Influence engineering across the organization , guiding technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving adoption of modern platform capabilities and automation, including AI-driven enhancements where applicable.

What You’ll bring (3 to 5 brief pointers about the qualifications, exposures and experiences required for the role)

Deep expertise in large-scale Kubernetes and distributed systems , with hands-on experience building and operating platforms that run mission-critical workloads across regions.

Proven ability to define architecture and drive technical direction across teams , with strong judgment in scaling, reliability, security, and system design trade-offs.

Track record of building efficient, automated platforms , with experience improving scheduling, resource utilization, and operational simplicity along with an interest in applying AI-driven approaches where they add real value.
