Possession of a valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher’s Certificate.

Sound working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, weather, and technical dispatch skills.

Must be able to work any shift or day of the week in a 24/7/365 operation.

Must be able to successfully complete all ground training requirements and proficiencies for dispatchers as specified in the Dispatcher Training Manual.

Ability to possess and/or obtain a current passport prior to start date with unlimited access in and out of the United States. Employees with non-U.S. passports also will need any appropriate travel documentation. Must be able to fly unrestricted in and out of all countries within which Alaska Airlines operates.

Strong organizational and communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Minimum age of 23.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to communicate in English.

Preferred

Four-year college degree, preferably in an aviation related field of study. -OR- 5 years of airline operation experience -OR- 3 years recent flight Dispatch experience -OR- a combination of the above, including some college and/or a two-year college degree.
