Role Overview
The Director of Vulnerability Engineering leads application and data engineering teams building and operating a vulnerability management platform.
The platform supports end-to-end vulnerability workflows, exposure management, reporting, internal automation, AI skills, and controls engineering.
The role reports to the Senior Principal, Vulnerability and Exposure Management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee enterprise application security services including secure design, testing, remediation, and training.
- Lead teams delivering the vulnerability management platform.
- Partner with product teams to design and operationalize platform capabilities.
- Define the engineering roadmap for exposure management and reporting.
- Deliver automation and AI capabilities for vulnerability assessment, prioritization, and resolution.
- Manage automated controls validation across its engineering lifecycle.
- Establish engineering standards, delivery practices, and technical governance.
- Manage budgets, resources, strategic decisions, and cross-functional relationships.
- Attract, retain, coach, and develop application and data engineering talent.
