The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transformation agendas and advise CIOs, CTOs, COOs, and business leadership teams on roadmaps and investment cases.
• Originate and convert major opportunities through account planning, executive relationships, proposals, and commercial negotiation.
• Oversee complex programmes from strategy through implementation with focus on quality, value realization, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Build senior consulting teams, mentor future leaders, and contribute to practice offerings and thought leadership.
• Collaborate across EY’s regional and global network and provide market leadership through industry relationships and client forums.

Key Experience Areas

• Mining and Metals operations, asset-intensive industries, and operational transformation.
• Technology strategy, digital transformation, data, analytics, AI, and enterprise data platforms.
• Digital operations, integrated operations centres, real-time operational visibility, and intelligent asset solutions.
• Operational technology, industrial automation, connected operations, autonomous technologies, and cyber.
• Enterprise architecture, technology operating models, enterprise platforms, cloud, and core systems modernization.
• Large-scale technology programme delivery, transformation leadership, and executive advisory.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• At least 15 years of experience in technology consulting, industry technology leadership, or large-scale transformation roles.
• Deep Mining and Metals experience is preferred, while relevant experience in other heavy or asset-intensive industries is considered.
• Strong understanding of mining operations, processing plants, industrial assets, and digital operations environments.
• Established GCC relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and business leadership teams.
• Proven business development, account leadership, team leadership, and transformation delivery experience.

• Executive presence, sound judgement, and trusted board and C-suite relationship-building.
• Commercial acumen in opportunity qualification, pricing, contracting, negotiation, and portfolio management.
• Demonstrated ability to build pipeline, win work, and expand strategic accounts.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
• Clear, persuasive communication and ability to simplify complex operational and technology matters.
• Commitment to delivery excellence, professional integrity, and responsible technology use.

Qualifications and Market Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Arabic language capability is advantageous but not essential.
• Relevant professional or technology certifications are advantageous but not essential.
• Leadership experience in a recognized consulting firm, Mining and Metals organization, or major asset-intensive enterprise is expected.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
