Role Overview
RPIA Capital Management is seeking a full-time permanent Director, Solutions for its Solutions team.
The role reports to the Head of Solutions and supports the investment technology ecosystem and enterprise project delivery capabilities.
The Director, Solutions serves as business owner for the Calypso portfolio management platform and supports strategic technology initiatives.
Product and Solution Leadership
- Serve as business product owner for the Calypso portfolio management platform.
- Establish Calypso product strategy, roadmap, governance, and ongoing evolution.
- Partner with business and technology teams to optimize workflows, improve user experience, and maximize platform capabilities.
Strategic Project Delivery
- Support business implementation of investment data platforms, order management systems, and other strategic investment solutions.
- Define business requirements and collaborate with Technology and vendors on solution design, implementation, and systems integration.
- Manage project scope, risks, timelines, stakeholder communications, and organizational change.
- Continuously improve project governance, methodologies, and delivery practices.
Critical Competencies
- Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to achieve shared business objectives.
- Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions using analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Analyze, document, and improve business processes and operations.
- Manage multiple strategic initiatives and competing priorities through strong planning and prioritization.
- Communicate and build relationships effectively across business and technology teams.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in product management, business solutions, project delivery, or technology leadership within investment management or financial services.
- Experience as a business owner or product owner for an enterprise platform.
- Experience leading complex technology implementations, systems integrations, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with portfolio management systems, investment data platforms, order management systems, or related investment technologies.
- Strong understanding of investment management operations, fixed income markets, investment products, and technology-enabled business processes.
- Project or product management certifications such as PMP, Agile, Scrum Product Owner, or CBAP are considered an asset.
Compensation
- Base salary range is CAD 130,000 to CAD 140,000, with additional compensation potentially available.
Work Location
- The stated work location is Toronto.
