Role Overview

Candidate Profile

• The ideal candidate has deep experience delivering complex SaaS and cloud-native platforms.
• The role requires experience leading distributed engineering teams and building data-intensive solutions for regulated or asset-intensive industries.
• Oil and gas domain experience is strongly preferred, including familiarity with industry workflows, asset records, regulatory information, and enterprise integrations.

Engineering Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams for the Unify Energy platform.
• Own engineering strategy, technical roadmap, execution planning, and delivery outcomes.
• Partner with business leaders, customers, Product Management, Implementation, and Customer Success.
• Provide technical leadership across SaaS, cloud architecture, APIs, integrations, data, search, automation, and AI.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from discovery through continuous improvement.
• Monitor delivery metrics, quality, reliability, risks, dependencies, capacity, and technical debt.

Platform and Data Delivery

• Deliver capabilities for information ingestion, normalization, indexing, classification, validation, search, retrieval, workflow, and reporting.
• Advance metadata management, search, filtering, navigation, map-based discovery, and data enrichment.
• Guide integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, batch interfaces, identity services, repositories, GIS, analytics platforms, and systems of record.
• Lead ETL/ELT, metadata, lineage, reconciliation, observability, and reliable downstream data consumption.
• Guide responsible AI and machine learning for document understanding, classification, entity matching, search, recommendations, and quality assurance.

Governance and Team Development

• Ensure cybersecurity, privacy, records retention, legal hold, auditability, data residency, regulatory, customer control, and business continuity requirements.
• Establish outcome-based planning, engineering and business KPIs, technical standards, release controls, service-level objectives, and operational readiness.
• Support hiring, coaching, performance management, succession planning, role clarity, and an accountable engineering culture.
• Represent Unify Energy engineering in executive, product, customer, and governance forums.
• Stay current with energy technology, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, data platforms, AI automation, SaaS architecture, and software delivery.

First 6–12 Months

• Establish an engineering and product delivery baseline for Unify Energy.
• Assess platform architecture, team capabilities, operating model, delivery commitments, reliability, security posture, technical debt, and customer integrations.
• Align with Product, Operations, and customer-facing teams on priority outcomes and a focused delivery plan.
• Success will be measured through clearer accountability, stronger operating rhythms, improved delivery and quality metrics, reduced execution risk, and deeper customer partnership.
