This role supports underwriting automation and innovation initiatives by translating business objectives, client needs, and underwriting intent into clear requirements, business rules, user stories, and implementation plans.
It also provides Agile leadership, backlog governance, stakeholder coordination, and strategic planning to improve automation capabilities, operational efficiency, data utilization, and team delivery effectiveness.
The Project Manager/Owner Underwriting Automation is responsible for translating underwriting strategy and client needs into actionable business requirements, rules, user stories, and delivery plans.
The role serves as a bridge between clients, underwriters, product owners, technology teams, and development partners to ensure automation solutions are well-defined, prioritized, implemented effectively, and aligned with business objectives.
The position also provides Agile leadership, managing planning ceremonies, backlog readiness, prioritization, documentation standards, progress tracking, risk escalation, and continuous improvement for delivery teams.
