Lantern Care is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our Product Engineering organization. This role owns feature delivery across multiple engineering pods, partnering closely with Product and business stakeholders to translate roadmap priorities into shipped, high–quality software. You will report to the VP of Engineering and play a central role in maturing how our engineering teams plan, build, and iterate. This is a hands–on leadership role for someone who has run engineering teams before and wants to build the next chapter of Lantern’s delivery model – standing up new pods, championing iterative, loop–based development practices, and raising the bar on execution across the organization. Location: Hybrid - at least 3 days/wk in our Vancouver, BC Canada office Responsibilities:

Manage the delivery for multiple product engineering pods, ensuring predictable, high-quality releases against roadmap commitments

Stand up and scale new engineering pods structured around iterative, agentic, loop-based development, defining team composition, cadence, and ways of working

Partner with Product Management and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into executable work with clear context and constraints

Maintain hands-on technical expertise in design, code, and deployments

Coach and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, building a strong bench of technical leadership

Drive engineering rigor and architecture standards via platform tools across the pods, including code quality, testing discipline, and architecture alignment, in partnership with QA and Architecture
