Responsibilities
- Act as the approved Compliance Officer and MLRO (COMLRO) for the ADGM regulated business
- Lead the firm’s UAE compliance and financial crime framework
- Manage direct engagement with FSRA and UAE regulators
- Oversee AML, sanctions, financial crime, conduct risk and wider regulatory obligations
- Provide compliance oversight across digital asset products and custody operations
- Partner with global leadership on regulatory strategy and business expansion
- Lead compliance monitoring, governance and internal regulatory controls
- Manage and develop the local compliance team
Requirements
- Strong experience operating in senior compliance leadership roles within financial services
- Deep knowledge of ADGM and FSRA regulatory frameworks
- Previous experience holding regulated approval or senior accountable compliance roles
- Strong understanding of digital assets, crypto or blockchain related businesses
- Must be based in the UAE / Emirates
- Ability to operate within a fast growth, high performance environment

Overview
- A leading international digital assets business is looking to appoint a Compliance Director to lead their UAE compliance function and act as the approved COMLRO for their ADGM regulated entity.
- This Compliance Director is a highly strategic leadership position requiring a senior compliance professional with deep knowledge of ADGM, FSRA and UAE financial services regulation, ideally within digital assets or highly innovative regulated businesses.
- The successful Compliance Director will take full ownership of regulatory compliance, financial crime oversight and regulatory engagement across the UAE entity.
