Role Purpose
- Lead and manage Corporate Strategy and Portfolio Management activities to drive transformation into a global, commercially focused, and performance driven organisation.
- Act as an internal strategy think tank, shaping long term strategy, overseeing portfolio performance, and supporting major investment, capital allocation, and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Strategy: Lead development and execution of corporate strategies aligned to long term growth, value creation, performance, and efficiency objectives.
- Provide strategic insight and challenge on major business decisions, investment choices, and enterprise wide initiatives.
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable portfolio initiatives and guide business planning processes.
- Review and challenge business plans to ensure consistency with corporate strategy, financial assumptions, and performance targets.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on emerging trends, risks, and strategic implications.
- Portfolio Management: Maintain a comprehensive, up to date view of the corporate portfolio including assets, projects, and investments.
- Lead portfolio analysis to identify growth opportunities, value creation levers, synergies, optimisation, and standardisation opportunities.
- Oversee portfolio simulations, scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and marginal cost curve development.
- Conduct portfolio benchmarking against peer organisations and global best practice.
- Provide regular portfolio performance and outlook reporting to senior management and governance forums.
- Build strong relationships with consultancies, industry experts, and market participants.
- Business Development: Lead identification, screening, evaluation, and negotiation of new business and investment opportunities.
