Director Clinical Operations

The Clinical Operations Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational excellence, and commercial growth of Phoenix Clinical Research.

This role oversees global Clinical Operations while actively driving business development initiatives, ensuring high-quality clinical trial delivery, strong client relationships, and sustained organizational growth.

-Provide strategic leadership to Clinical Operations across all regions, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency.

-Oversee clinical project delivery in line with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and client expectations.

-Monitor and improve clinical monitoring practices and operational performance.

-Conduct gap analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

-Ensure effective resource planning and allocation.

-Support and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).

-Provide leadership and direction to the Clinical Operations Manager (COM) and teams.

-Identify and secure new business opportunities.

-Lead proposal development and bid defense activities.

-Represent Clinical Operations in client engagements.

-Drive expansion into new markets, countries, and service lines.

-Maintain and grow a strong opportunity pipeline.

-Monitor market trends and provide strategic input to leadership.

-Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.

-Ensure high client satisfaction and effective issue resolution.

-Act as senior point of contact for key clients.

-Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

-Identify and address training and development needs.

-Mentor and develop team members.

-Promote cross-functional collaboration.

-Contribute to company strategy and growth initiatives.

-Support development of marketing and positioning materials.

-Represent the company in internal and external forums.

-Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business, or related field.

-Minimum 15 years of experience in clinical research, including leadership roles.

-Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial processes.

-Proven experience in both Clinical Operations and Business Development.

-Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
