Technical skills

• AI security areas include LLM security, prompt injection mitigation, data privacy, responsible AI controls, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.
• Cloud services include Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock Agent Core, Amazon Lex, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Translate, Kendra, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Technical architecture areas include LLM deployment, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, agentic AI, multi-agent architecture, fine-tuning, and model customization.
• Infrastructure tools include CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, ARM Templates, and Bicep.
• Security architecture tools include AWS IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, Purview, and Azure Policy.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 9 or more years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires experience managing teams and people.
• Requires expert proficiency in cloud architectures, security architecture design, technical architecture, infrastructure development, IT strategies, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance management.
• Requires advanced proficiency in adaptability and banking operations.
• The role calls for a seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge and a technical leader viewed as an innovation thought leader.

Additional accountabilities

• Advise technical teams, participate in system specification reviews, and ensure scalable, explainable, secure, and sustainable architecture designs.
• Research emerging technologies, perform proofs of concept, and recommend AI, LLMOps, and AIFinOps applications.
• Provide architectural input to business cases covering feasibility, risks, enterprise alignment, value realization, guardrails, evaluations, observability, scalability, and responsible AI.
• Communicate complex AI concepts, business value, technical trade-offs, model risks, and governance requirements clearly.
• Apply BMO's Risk Management Framework, risk appetite, AI governance, model risk management, privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible AI requirements.

Compensation

• The stated salary range is $120,000 to $215,000 with salaried pay type.
• Total compensation may include performance incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits.
