- Spearhead growth, drive innovation, and shape the future of the Haskoning business in the Middle East
- Lead the development and growth of a cross business line Advisory Group, executing growth strategy and developing a strong team
- Identify new client opportunities, shape multidisciplinary advisory services, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders
- Assume responsibilities of Resident Director for the UAE, acting as senior representative and overseeing local operations
- Drive commercial and financial success of the Advisory Group, with P&L responsibility
- Build strong communication channels within and outside Haskoning to encourage seamless cooperation
- Cultivate an environment and culture where both individuals and the business can thrive
- Ensure project delivery meeting client expectations, scope, quality, and financial performance
Requirements
- Higher Education in engineering, management or environmental disciplines
- Extensive Experience in Engineering Consultancy in the Maritime or related industry
- Minimum of 5 years Line management (including P&L) responsibility, with proven experience to lead teams of at least 30 people
- A network of clients in the Middle East region is a significant advantage
- General management and entity management experience is an advantage
- Fluent in English with the ability to engage stakeholders across cultures and geographies
- An international outlook, with experience working in diverse, multicultural environments

Role Overview
- Haskoning seeks a Director Advisory Group Water & Maritime Middle East to lead a team of 30+ professionals and drive growth in the region.
What you do as a Director Advisory Group
- Lead, develop, and empower a dynamic international team of 30 plus highly skilled professionals based primarily in the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
- Spearhead growth, drive innovation, and shape the future of the Haskoning business in the Middle East.
- Lead the development and growth of a cross business line Advisory Group, currently around 10 staff, expected to grow to approximately 50 over four years.
- Identify new client opportunities, shape multidisciplinary advisory services, strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Assume responsibilities of Resident Director for the UAE, providing country level leadership and overseeing statutory compliance, finance, HR, etc.
What you bring
- Higher Education in engineering, management or environmental disciplines.
- Extensive Experience in Engineering Consultancy in the Maritime or related industry.
- Minimum of 5 years Line management (including P&L) responsibility, with proven experience to lead teams of at least 30 people.
- A network of clients in the Middle East region is a significant advantage.
- General management and entity management experience is an advantage.
- Fluent in English with the ability to engage stakeholders across cultures and geographies. Arabic would be an advantage.
- An international outlook, with experience working in diverse, multicultural environments.
