Job Summary
- Functions as the property's strategic Facilities Business Leader. The Director of Engineering is responsible for the Engineering operations and projects at the Hotel.
- Provides a high level of property maintenance knowledge. Position has overall responsibility for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
- As the property is going into a full scale renovation you will thrive with Project Management and assume overall responsibility for navigating through the repositioning.
- Accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
- Develops and implements strategies that will deliver products and services, which meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and employees while maximizing the financial performance.
- Responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, within a five star hotel or equivalent.
- Skills and Knowledge: Operations experience in facilities and engineering management; Project Management experience & stakeholder relationships; Strong leadership and customer focus; Budgeting and scheduling expertise; Ability to motivate teams; Strong communication skills.
- Education: Degree in Engineering or related field.
