Responsibilities
- Clean floors, including carpet and tile surfaces, using vacuums, mops and related tools
- Daily cleaning of windows and window frames
- Thorough cleaning and sanitization of public washrooms
- Polish brass signage and trim
- Proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with WHMIS guidelines
Requirements
- Outstanding attention to detail in cleanliness and presentation
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment is an asset
- Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and reach
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

Position Summary
- Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Restaurant Cleaner maintains high standards of cleanliness and presentation across restaurant and public areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning floors, including carpet and tile surfaces, using vacuums, mops and related tools.
- Daily cleaning of windows and window frames.
- Thorough cleaning and sanitization of public washrooms.
- Cleaning wooden ledges, railings, chairs, and benches.
- Wet dusting artificial flowers and watering plants.
- Dusting and cleaning ceiling vents and door trims.
- Polishing brass signage and trim.
- Ensuring all cleaning tasks are conducted with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Regular monitoring and maintenance of floor conditions to prevent slip and fall hazards.
- Proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with WHMIS guidelines.
- Reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Outstanding attention to detail in cleanliness, presentation, and tidiness.
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment is considered an asset.
- Commitment to quality and hospitality during all interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and WHMIS.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching).
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
