Role Overview
The Data Scientist works in commercial technology and consultancy development teams on statistical, machine learning, and data understanding problems.
The role develops and deploys modern machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis, and statistical methods for large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytics for customer needs and opportunities and translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, statistical modeling, and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets.
- Create dashboards, visualizations, reports, annotated code, and other artifacts to communicate findings and outcomes.
- Design, train, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and improve machine learning models and AI solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering.
- Apply generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI techniques where applicable.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, success metrics, governance, security, and business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
