The opportunity

Join Suncorp as a Digital Designer within Brand and Customer Experience.

This is a unique opportunity to combine traditional digital design expertise with emerging generative AI capabilities.

You will help evolve content production across Suncorp, delivering end-to-end design services for digital, content and one-to-one marketing workstreams.

Working across market-leading insurance brands including AAMI, GIO and Bingle, you will take creative work from concept development through to asset creation, finished artwork, trafficking and final delivery to agency partners.

Your work will support brand, business and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) objectives.

You will also lead a six-month generative AI platform trial, helping shape creative workflows, manage risks, share learnings and recommend how emerging AI capabilities can be used responsibly across the business.

What you’ll do

Digital design and production

• Deliver digital design and production across social media, one-to-one marketing, digital performance and Generative Engine Optimisation.
• Develop concepts and create high-quality assets across static, social, video and templated formats.
• Create brand-aligned templates, icons and simple animations.
• Edit and adapt existing assets, including resizing, reformatting and adding supers, copy, graphics, audio and sound effects.
• Maintain consistent brand identity and visual elements across digital platforms.
• Ensure work complies with brand guidelines and large language model discoverability best practice.
• Produce copy for email communications, social content, transcripts, metadata and scripts.
• Provide finished artwork and final materials to internal teams and agency partners.

Generative AI capability

• Lead a six-month generative AI platform trial.
• Design and test creative workflows, manage risks and share recommendations and learnings.
• Use AI to support ideation, versioning, adaptation and production.
• Build practical knowledge of emerging generative AI creative capabilities.
• Support responsible experimentation, continuous learning and innovation across Suncorp.

Asset management and templates

• Support asset management through Adobe Workfront, including file management, tagging and asset readiness.
• Develop and maintain accessible, brand-aligned templates, layouts and reusable design systems.
• Apply strong file organisation, naming, version-control and digital asset management practices.
• Help improve production efficiency and creative consistency.

Workflow, trafficking and delivery

• Manage the prioritisation, production, review, approval and delivery of design briefs using agreed workflow tools.
• Coordinate and clarify feedback, consolidate changes and deliver final assets within agreed timeframes.
• Upload approved assets to Creative Hub and platforms including TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit and YouTube.
• Ensure assets are correctly named, versioned, tagged and supplied with the information required by media agencies and Brand and Customer Experience team members.
• Move confidently between hands-on design, stakeholder liaison, quality assurance, publishing and workflow administration as priorities change.

Stakeholder collaboration

• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, creative and media agencies, social platforms, third-party partners and generative AI vendors.
• Work closely with Brand and Customer Experience, Content Marketing, Content Leads and Content Specialists.
• Communicate clearly, manage expectations and contribute to shared goals.

• At least three years’ experience in digital or graphic design in an agency, freelance or similar environment.
• A tertiary qualification in graphic design or digital design is preferred, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and diverse execution across digital channels.
• Strong capability across static, social, video and templated formats.
• An exceptional eye for layout, typography, visual hierarchy, colour, spacing, brand consistency and channel adaptation.
• Experience designing for social platforms such as Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit and LinkedIn.
• Knowledge of social publishing requirements, creative best practice and safe-zone considerations.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Figma, with experience working in design-system environments.
• Working knowledge of Adobe digital asset management platforms and Canva is preferred.
• Working knowledge of generative AI tools and how they can support creative workflows.
• Strong copywriting capability across digital formats.
• Excellent asset-management practices, including file organisation, naming conventions, version control, digital asset management governance and platform-specific file formats.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
• An adaptable and agile approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment.
