The Opportunity:
The team member will be overall responsible to ensure the assembly machines are kept running at all times. The team member will accomplish this by closely monitoring all feeding tubes and parts hoppers. The team member will also be responsible to fill all parts hoppers and to ensure feeders do not run out of parts. The team member will be alert to clear the alarm codes that the machine displays. The team member will maintain the area in constant state of cleanliness. The team member is required to assemble boxes and to correctly stack them on a wooden pallet and stage the full pallet outside of the assembly room area. The team member may be assigned other tasks by the supervisor as required.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
The team member is responsible to monitor all automated assembly equipment
In the event of a machine stoppage the team member must be able to read and interpret the error codes displayed and clear any machine faults
The team member is required to keep all material bins full of work in process components
The team member is required to make, remove, tape and label all boxes in the assembly process
The team member will stack all boxes on pallets in accordance with the finished goods stacking procedure
The team member will remove and stage all full pallets outside the assembly room area

The team member will be required to maintain the assembly room area in sparkling condition. This will require the team member to sweep, wipe down all machines and clean all windows
The team member will be required to operate pallet jacks, both manual and electric
The team member will be required to wear a uniform and safety shoes provided by the company
The team member must be able to perform repetitive functions and must be able to lift at least 30 pounds on a frequent basis

The team member must be flexible to schedule changes and work shift times
What you need to succeed:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Mechanically inclined.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Working with control display panels a plus.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work unsupervised or in a team environment.
Must be able to work on a computer.
