North Point Technology is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to provide full-spectrum DevOps support for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/SE Linux based enterprise environment, including initial deployment, site support, and automation.
The qualified candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who thrives in an agile, standards-driven environment and enjoys working closely with site teams, users, and government stakeholders to deliver reliable, repeatable deployments.
Responsibilities
This position provides full-spectrum DevOps support across the deployment lifecycle of a RHEL/SE Linux based enterprise product.
Duties
include deploying and maintaining RHEL/SE Linux configurations through Red Hat Satellite and Ansible automation, working one-on-one with site administrators to troubleshoot automation and deployment issues, and installing software libraries that function within the RHEL/SE Linux environment.
The engineer monitors and modifies the enterprise environment in an agile, highly flexible setting, engages third-party vendors to translate and integrate manual steps into the automated deployment process, and creates or modifies existing DevOps automation to correct errors and improve deployment capabilities.
Additional duties include developing and executing test plans for filesystem upgrades, resolving issues with vendor support, providing support to staff and end users, and applying DevOps best practices to deliver quality projects on schedule.
