Role Focus
- Provide architectural input and prioritize the platform backlog through a cloud center of excellence.
- Build DevSecOps pipelines for Infrastructure as Code.
- Define VPC and networking standards, high-availability and disaster-recovery patterns.
- Manage GKE as the microservices container platform.
- Design authentication, authorization, API security, and platform integration capabilities.
- Establish operational readiness through testing supported by an SRE model.
Project Responsibilities
- Focus the implementation on native GCP services, including GKE.
- Provision GCP infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Determine security testing and scanning tools during discovery.
- Re-platform databases to Cloud SQL.
- Specify environments for up to eight initial microservices.
- Design for multi-zone deployment rather than multi-region deployment.
Required Experience
- 5–7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
- Significant experience with monorepos and infrastructure/DevOps SDLC environments.
- Experience provisioning GCP resources with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
- Experience building Tekton CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating static and dynamic application security scans.
- Experience with artifact registries, JSON, Istio, and Java or microservices deployment in GCP.
- Experience with serverless and Kubernetes-based microservices deployments.
- Experience with GCP-native and Dynatrace observability and monitoring.
- Strong networking, authorization, authentication, and IAM background.
