DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Key responsibilities

• Improve the scalability, robustness, and automation of tools and processes.
• Own the deployment and optimization of production systems.
• Maintain support tools for continuous integration, testing, and production deployment.
• Contribute to web, API, database, performance, and security aspects of the technology stack.
• Ensure systems are operational, observable, and designed for disaster auto-recovery.
• Manage end-to-end system operations, maintenance, monitoring, notification, automation, and backend operations.
• Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for production, QA, and development environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD systems and deploy automation in public cloud environments.
• Work with development and QA teams to support end-to-end quality.
• Document infrastructure and work with third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues.

Qualifications and technical experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Senior DevOps professional.
• Track record of building and maintaining large-scale software products.
• Experience delivering high-uptime SaaS applications.
• Experience with high-traffic production systems, troubleshooting, automation, and regular operations.
• Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, Nexus, Docker Registry, GitLab, and Ansible or Terraform.
• Knowledge of SaaS, cloud infrastructure, enterprise technologies, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Strong Shell scripting or Python skills and strong knowledge of Unix-based systems.
• Experience with Git and familiarity with microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification is preferred.
• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification is preferred.
