Développeur(euse) logiciel / Software Developer - C#/.NET, WPF and Web

We are looking for a Software Developer to build and maintain desktop, web, and cloud software across Genetec’s transit and physical security products.

The role spans desktop, frontend, backend, and cloud development, using technologies including C#/.NET, WPF, Angular, React, TypeScript, REST APIs, and cloud services. Most current work is in C#/.NET and desktop applications, with growing work in web applications, cloud services, and SaaS features.

Our projects include:

Transit fleet management and vehicle monitoring

Vehicle location, status, health, and communications

Access control and other Security Center integrations

Cloud services, APIs, and web-based configuration applications

You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and planning through implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery.

Your day at a glance:

Design, develop, and maintain software across desktop, web, backend, and cloud applications

Develop features using C#/.NET, WPF, Angular, React, TypeScript, and related technologies

Develop and maintain REST APIs and service integrations

Build cloud-connected services and web-based configuration applications

Develop integrations with Genetec Security Center, transit systems, vehicle systems, and external services

Implement features from requirements and design through production delivery

Diagnose and resolve defects in new and existing applications

Investigate production issues in collaboration with support and other teams

Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests

Contribute to software architecture, performance, maintainability, and code quality

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, task estimation, and design activities

Work with quality assurance to plan and validate software releases

What makes you a great fit:

Strong experience with C# and the.NET ecosystem

Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles

Experience developing desktop, web, and/or backend applications

Experience with WPF and XAML, or the ability to learn WPF

Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript

Experience with Angular, React, or another modern component-based web framework

Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and web application fundamentals

Experience with asynchronous programming, application performance, and maintainable software design

Experience with Git and collaborative development practices

Experience writing automated tests

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex or distributed applications

Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

An asset if you have:

Experience developing integrations or extensions for Genetec Security Center or similar enterprise platforms

Experience with access control or physical security systems

Experience with transit systems, fleet management, AVL/GPS, or vehicle communications

Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development

Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, or automated deployment pipelines

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, or distributed systems

Experience with Go

Experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, or other data-storage technologies

Familiarity with service communication and messaging technologies such as gRPC, MQTT, NATS, TCP, or UDP

Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger
