Full Job Posting
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
Assist in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, VPC, VPC Peering, Subnets, Security Groups, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, and Load Balancers
Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or similar tools
Containerize applications using Docker and support Kubernetes (EKS) cluster operations
Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform under guidance
Manage and administer Linux-based servers (Ubuntu/Amazon Linux)
Configure and manage Nginx as a reverse proxy and load balancer
Support MySQL and MongoDB database administration tasks including backups and basic troubleshooting
Write automation scripts (Bash/Python) to streamline routine operational tasks
Assist in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Leverage AI tools and platforms to automate repetitive DevOps tasks and improve efficiency
Manage Git repositories, follow branching strategies, and collaborate via merge requests
Troubleshoot basic networking issues across VPCs and peered connections
Follow security best practices across infrastructure and deployments
Basic Qualifications:
- EC2 instance management, basic AMI operations
- Understanding of VPC architecture (Subnets, Route Tables, NACLs, Security Groups)
- Working knowledge of VPC Peering
- Networking fundamentals: DNS (Route 53), Elastic IPs, NAT/Internet Gateways, Load Balancers (ALB/NLB)
- Basic understanding of IAM roles, policies, and security practices
- S3, EBS storage management
