POSITION PURPOSE
The Development Engineer will support the Product Development Team for the development of new stainless-steel propellers, enhancements to existing propellers, as well as new products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Management : Lead cross-functional teams through the fabrication process of prototypes utilizing industry best practices (PMI). Ensure projects are completed on time, to print design, within budget, and to the highest Yamaha quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate reporting of project tracking, costs, timing, noting any risks, potential delays and providing regular reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Additional technical reporting relative to variations and other key characteristics may be required as needed.
- Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Implement best practices and lessons learned from past projects towards new products to help drive a Lean culture.
