Develop creative from concept through production and final execution, translating ideas into polished design solutions across channels.
Contribute original thinking during brainstorms, kickoffs, reviews, and collaborative working sessions.
Create work with a strong attention to typography, composition, imagery, hierarchy, and brand consistency.
Execute and adapt creative across a high volume of assets, formats, and channel requirements while maintaining quality and consistency.
Partner with Creative and cross-functional teams to understand objectives, ask thoughtful questions, establish alignment, and deliver effective creative solutions.
Look beyond the immediate ask to identify opportunities to strengthen the idea, approach, or final work.
Present concepts and design rationale clearly and confidently to Creative leadership and cross-functional partners.
Bring ideas to life through thoughtful design and image selection that supports the creative concept and brand.
Manage multiple projects and priorities, communicating proactively around progress, questions, risks, and dependencies.
Incorporate feedback thoughtfully and use it to strengthen the work.
Stay curious about emerging tools, technologies, and creative practices that can improve how we think and work.
3+ years of professional design experience, including experience within retail and/or eCommerce.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Fine Arts, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
A portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, conceptual thinking, and execution across multiple marketing channels.
Comfort balancing conceptual creative work with hands-on production, including adapting and extending creative across multiple assets, formats, and channels.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
A strong foundation in typography, composition, hierarchy, grid systems, color theory, design systems, and brand systems.
A strong eye for photography, with the ability to source and select compelling imagery that supports the creative concept and feels authentic to the brand.
Experience developing creative for digital marketing channels and customer-facing marketing touchpoints.
An understanding of how brand, customer, and performance objectives come together within marketing creative.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate the thinking behind your work.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining creative quality and attention to detail.
Confidence working through ambiguity, solving problems, and taking ownership of your work.
A collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and genuine interest in continued creative growth.
Background working with established consumer brands.
Familiarity with photoshoot planning and pre-production, including supporting Art Directors with shot lists, sourcing visual inspiration, and preparing creative for shoots.
Motion design, animation, or motion graphics capabilities.
Working knowledge of generative AI image and video tools, including effective prompting and the ability to incorporate AI into creative exploration and production workflows.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$64,250 - $90,750]
Connecticut and New York: [$64,250 - $83,250]
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$64,250 - $77,000]
Nevada: [$60,500 - $83,250]
Maryland and New Jersey: [$69,500 - $83,250]
Hawaii : [$60,500 – $72,500]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
