Role Overview
The employer is hiring a Designer cum Estimator for aluminium and façade projects in Abu Dhabi, Mussafah.
The role combines technical drawing, aluminium system design, and project cost estimation.
Employment and Workplace
- The position is full-time and permanent.
- Work is performed in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical details for aluminium and façade works.
- Analyze architectural and structural drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates, material take-offs, and quotations.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Assist in tender preparation and project pricing.
- Revise drawings and estimates based on project requirements and client feedback.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a designer and/or estimator in the aluminium or façade industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of other design software is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of aluminium systems, façade works, and material estimation.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
