Design Manager

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise the Design Team and works execution on site.
• Manage design deliverables, coordination, and approvals across multiple projects.
• Review design drawings, specifications, materials, and technical submissions.
• Oversee FF&E projects through design development, material selection, procurement coordination, installation, and handover.
• Monitor site execution of the approved design and contractor compliance with approved documents and quality standards.
• Follow up on design-related contractor matters and resolve site issues with relevant disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and RFIs.
• Coordinate architectural, interior design, MEP, and specialist requirements.
• Monitor design progress, risks, delays, and corrective actions.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings and provide status updates.
• Support site inspections, snagging, close-out, and final handover.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 15–20 years of relevant experience, including solid Design Manager and site supervision experience.
• Strong experience in design management, interior fit-out, and FF&E projects.
• Proven experience supervising design teams and following design execution on site.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills are preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant design and project-management software is preferred.
