Position summary
The employer is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for an ongoing engineering project.
The role supports development and execution of engineering initiatives involving mechanical and robotics design.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
- Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed design documentation.
- Work on robotic mechanisms and structural components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with project requirements.
- Conduct simulations and stress tests for mechanical integrity and functionality.
- Troubleshoot design issues during prototype testing and production.
- Optimize designs for manufacturing and assembly.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for 3D modeling, design, and drafting.
- Experience in robotics design, sheet metal design, solid part modeling, and 3D print design.
- At least 1 year of experience in mechanical design with a good academic background.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaborative working skills.
- Knowledge of engineering drawing, drafting, and materials selection for mechanical components.
