Design Engineer

We're looking for someone with experience with mechanical product design experience and advanced surface modeling skills to join our dynamic team and help us continue producing world-class boats.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Conceptualizes and defines all aspects of form, function, aesthetics, and end user interface, while meeting defined criteria for product features, cost, manufacturability, and project schedules. Creates and maintains all engineering and assembly drawings, parts manuals and build procedures.

Product Design and Development

Taking concept renderings and conceptual surface models to Class-A surface levels.

Utilizing Solidworks to create solid models and 2D drawings necessary for manufacturing parts.

Utilizing Solidworks/Rhino 3D models based on scan data through reverse engineering.

Working with the engineering design team to create designs from written and verbal input.

Researching, developing and/or recommending materials for construction and manufacturing processes.

Performing routine engineering calculations including stress analysis, fit analysis and tolerance stack-ups.
