Job Summary
Develop detailed plant engineering for water treatment systems, including civil and structural elements, equipment, piping, supports, layouts, and as-built drawings.
Use 2D and 3D design software to produce engineering deliverables while complying with ASME standards and project requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Draft equipment and foundation layouts using AutoCAD and prepare plant 3D models from basic engineering documents using Autodesk Revit, Plant 3D, and related tools.
- Prepare BIM models, coordinate designs, and develop construction or fabrication drawings to LOD 400.
- Perform peer reviews, PFD/P&ID reviews, equipment layout and skid pipe-routing design, and 2D drawing extraction and annotation.
- Prepare GAD, plumbing, spool, bill of quantity, pipe-support, clash, and compliance deliverables.
- Participate in model reviews, resolve clashes, ensure pipe-routing flexibility, and follow BIM standards and project requirements.
- Lead skid engineering activities, assist manufacturing problem solving, and balance customer specifications, schedules, budgets, and productivity.
Education and Experience
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or experience in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Seven to ten years of mechanical design experience in water, power, oil and gas, or a related industry required.
