Role Overview
Ai71 builds secure enterprise AI products for governments, banks, and large enterprises.
The Design Director is a player-coach who designs every week while leading the design team.
The role covers product design for Ask as well as how ai71 presents its brand and website to the world.
What You Will Do
- Own surfaces of Ask, ship design work, and remain directly involved in weekly design execution.
- Set the craft standard for core platform surfaces and run effective design critiques.
- Use working-code prototypes as a default design artefact and explore more product directions with AI tools.
- Define team ways of working, ownership, and career growth while protecting the design system.
- Hire and manage a brand designer and align product, website, and brand with Product Marketing and Demand.
- Coach senior designers and help them improve without forcing them into management.
- Design for on-premises, air-gapped, sovereign-cloud, multilingual, and right-to-left environments.
Who You Are
- Bring 10 or more years of design experience and have led teams at strong product companies.
- Remain hands-on, with a portfolio showing detailed craft and defensible design decisions.
