Role Overview
Stickman Tribe is seeking an experienced Design Director to lead creative teams and shape design output across hospitality, food and beverage, retail, and lifestyle projects.
The Design Director will serve as the studio's creative leader and design authority.
Creative Leadership
- Establish and champion the studio's creative vision and design philosophy.
- Lead concept development and creative direction across multiple projects.
- Inspire and mentor design teams and foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Design Quality and Team Development
- Maintain high design quality across projects and review concepts, presentations, and deliverables.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to design teams.
- Mentor Senior Designers, Lead Designers, and Design Managers.
- Support succession planning, talent development, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
Client and Business Contribution
- Participate in key client presentations and design workshops.
- Support business development initiatives and design proposals.
- Represent the studio's design capabilities and contribute to brand growth and positioning.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of professional design experience.
- Experience in a Design Director, Creative Director, or senior design leadership role.
- Strong portfolio showing hospitality, food and beverage, retail, or mixed-use projects.
- Experience managing and mentoring multidisciplinary design teams.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong conceptual design, storytelling, and creative thinking abilities.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- International project experience.
- Experience working with luxury hospitality brands.
- Award-winning project experience.
- Strong understanding of design delivery and project workflows.
