The DM cum SPM will be responsible for leading both the design management and project execution oversight of a hospitality development project.
The role ensures that all design deliverables, stakeholder requirements, authority approvals, and construction activities are delivered in line with project objectives, budget, quality standards, and timelines.
1. Design Management
Lead and manage the full design lifecycle from concept to IFC stage
Coordinate with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, and specialist consultants
Ensure design compliance with hospitality brand standards (hotel operator requirements)
Review and validate design deliverables for quality, coordination, and constructability
Manage design changes, value engineering, and design optimization initiatives
Facilitate design workshops and stakeholder review meetings
2. Project Management (PMC Role)
Act as PMC representative for overall project execution coordination
Monitor project schedule, milestones, and critical path activities
Ensure alignment between design intent and site execution
Oversee contractor performance and construction progress
Manage RFIs, technical queries, and site coordination issues
Lead risk identification and mitigation strategies
3. Stakeholder & Authority Coordination
Liaise with hotel operator / brand representatives for design approvals
Coordinate with Sharjah Municipality and other regulatory authorities
Manage client reporting, dashboards, and project progress updates
Conduct regular progress meetings with consultants and contractors
4. Contract & Commercial Awareness
Support review of variation orders and design-related claims
Work closely with commercial teams on cost impact of design changes
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and PMC scope
5. Quality, Compliance & HSE
Ensure adherence to local UAE building codes and hospitality standards
Monitor quality assurance processes during design and construction stages
Support HSE compliance in coordination with site teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering / Construction Management (Master’s preferred)
15–20+ years of experience in construction/project management
Strong hospitality project experience (hotels, resorts, serviced apartments)
Prior PMC experience in UAE or GCC mandatory
Experience working with international hotel operators (Hilton, Marriott, Accor, etc.)*
